Other Information:<\/strong> According to the seller, after Niki Lauda won the 1975 F1 Championship in a Ferrari 312 T2, Ferrari commissioned Italy Cars to build a scaled down replica of the championship winning car to be sold through Ferrari dealerships worldwide. Approximately 100 of these cars were to be made, but the seller was told that only about 50 were eventually built.<\/p>\n

(The 312 “T2” designation was not used until the 1976 season, as the 1975 racer carried the 312 T label. Most likely, this model probably celebrated the 1977 championship winning car).<\/p>\n

Price:<\/strong> Currently bid to $5,100 with three days left; reserve not met.<\/p>\n

Market:<\/strong> SCD has no clue about the market for such a clever item, but, if this is the real deal, we estimate that it could fetch upwards of $40,000 if the right buyer is found. It is doubtful that eBay is the correct place to sell this unique model. Again, if this is the real deal, SCD suggests the seller auction this item at the RM Auction Ferrari Leggenda E Passione<\/a>. The correct buyer will be there \u2013 many of them in fact.<\/p>\n

Seller Comments:<\/strong> “This is the European version with a lower roll bar and no seat belts. It is approx. 8 feet long, 4 wide and over 2 feet high. The attention to detail is incredible with notable features including; single cylinder 2 stroke motor with centrifugal clutch manufactured by Ducati, two speed automatic gearbox-one speed forward-neutral-reverse, MOMO steering wheel, dual rear hydraulic disk brakes, four wheel independent suspension, functional gauges, fiberglass body and push button electric starter. The cast alloy pieces such as the wheels, hubs, disk brake calipers and motor are truly pieces of art. This wonderful vintage go cart has been displayed in my vintage Italian Racing Motorcycle collection for years. It was freshened up about 5 years ago from by a well known vintage race car shop and should run well with a new battery and tune-up. Approx. speed is 45 MPH and is not street legal. This unique vintage racer is sold “as is, where is” and without any expressed guarantee or warranty.”<\/p>\n
