Now, <strong>the long-dormant <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/category\/brand\/hispano-suiza\/\">Hispano Suiza<\/a> brand could start a comeback with an electric supercar.<\/strong> From the 1900s to the mid-1940s Hispano Suiza sold thousands of unique luxury cars. After that, it more or less disappeared from the luxury automotive world. That changes this year in Geneva.<\/p>\n<p>Hispano Suiza recently teased an image\u00a0of a new car. According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/hispano-suiza-the-rebirth-of-a-myth-the-stork-soars-again-875811096.html\">press release<\/a> from the company, <strong>its next car will be an all-electric grand touring luxury supercar.<\/strong> The details on the model are currently scarce, and it will be interesting to see a modern Hispano Suiza appear.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topgear.com\/car-news\/electric\/hispano-suizas-new-electric-hypercar-might-look\">Top Gear<\/a>, the car will be called Carmen. The name Carmen comes from the mother of the company&#8217;s current president. The great-grandson of the founder of Hispano Suiza and the company&#8217;s current president,\u00a0<strong>Miguel Suqu\u00e9 Mateu, sounded excited in his statement to the press. He said he wants to see Hispano Suiza cars on roads around the world.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Back in 1900,\u00a0when Hispano Suiza started, it built the first electric car in the world, but the prototype was never industrially manufactured. Now, 119 years later, in\u00a0<span class=\"xn-chron\">March 2019<\/span>, Hispano Suiza has its first 100% electric car, offering great performance and manufactured in\u00a0<span class=\"xn-location\">Barcelona<\/span>, the realization of my great grandfather&#8217;s dream.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The rich heritage of the Hispano Suiza brand is engaging.
