{"id":343521,"date":"2019-02-22T15:07:35","date_gmt":"2019-02-22T15:07:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343521"},"modified":"2024-08-25T01:11:07","modified_gmt":"2024-08-25T01:11:07","slug":"hispano-suiza-manufaktur-ag-shows-off-the-maguari-hs1-gtc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/hispano-suiza-manufaktur-ag-shows-off-the-maguari-hs1-gtc\/","title":{"rendered":"Hispano-Suiza Manufaktur AG Shows Off the Maguari HS1 GTC"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">It&#8217;s Funky Looking and Powerful<\/h2>\n<p>The car you see in the photos here is <strong>the Magurai\u00a0HS1 GTC from Hispano Suiza Manufaktur AG.<\/strong> This is not to be confused with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/could-hispano-suiza-make-a-comeback-with-its-electric-supercar\/\">Hispano\u00a0Suiza car that was teased<\/a> not long ago. Apparently, that&#8217;s a different company, and both claim to have the rights to the Hispano Suiza name. As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2019\/02\/hispano-suiza-maguari-hs1-gtc-new-supercar-old-brand\/\">Carscoops<\/a> points out, the chances of a lawsuit between the companies is very likely.<\/p>\n<p>Setting aside the issue with the company naming rights, the Magurai\u00a0HS1 GTC appears to be a seriously crazy car. <strong>It looks like a mashup of several different sports car, luxury car, and supercar\u00a0manufacturers styling.<\/strong> There are hints of Lamborghini in the rear of the vehicle, the curves down the side remind me vaguely of McLaren&#8217;s vehicles, and I even see hints of Cadillac and Genesis here. Maybe I need my eyes checked, though.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, <strong>the Magurai\u00a0HS1 GTC features a V10 engine the supposedly comes from the Lamborghini Huracan.<\/strong> The company then took that massive engine and added two electric compressors, according to Carscoops. The result? <strong>A whopping\u00a01070 hp.<\/strong> The car can reportedly hit <strong>62 mph from a standstill in just 2.8 seconds,<\/strong> too. Need to go faster? No worries. The Magurai\u00a0HS1 GTC has a blisteringly\u00a0fast <strong>top speed of 236 mph.<\/strong> That&#8217;s not bad for a car named after something as bland as a South American stork.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking forward to getting more information about this car, and will keep an eye out for any additional info about the likely upcoming lawsuit between\u00a0Hispano Suiza
