Thanks to Novitec, You Can Keep Your 720S & Still Upgrade to a Senna<\/h2>\n

Late in 2018, German supercar tuning company Novitec<\/a> gave us a taste of their take on British automotive cuisine with the unveiling of the Novitec 720S N-Largo<\/i><\/b>. Using the McLaren 720S<\/a> Super Series model as its canvas, Novitec took the car to the next level; drawing much of its inspiration from McLaren\u2019s own halo car – the Senna.<\/a><\/p>\n

Most notable at first glance would be the exterior dressings Novitec has added to the car, effectively increasing its width by 60mm in the front and a whopping 130mm at the rear. The makeover hardly stops at being a simple wide-body conversion, with a more aggressive front splitter, reimagined roof scoop, new air inlets and a bigger double-decker spoiler completing the transformation.<\/p>\n

The 720S N-Largo also sits about 35mm closer to the ground, further accentuating its heightened brutishness. Obviously and naturally, the factory wheels are swapped out with wider wheels to fill out its new haunches, using forged-centerlocking 21\u201dx12\u201d wheels fitted in the rear in conjunction with wider 20\u201d wheels in the front.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Novitec\u2019s interpretation of the 720S is not merely limited to cosmetics, with the factory 4.0L twin-turbo engine seeing its power and torque bumped up – not insignificantly either – to 795 bhp<\/b> from 711 bhp and to 648 lb-ft <\/b>from 568 lb-ft, respectively. The N-Largo retains the rear-wheel drive configuration. This results in a car that can achieve 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds, 0-124 mph in 7.5 seconds, and a top speed of 215 mph<\/b> – figures that rival the Senna more closely than the 720S it is built upon.<\/p>\n

With both its appearance and performance figures resembling the Senna, one could make a case for Novitec providing the market a broader opportunity to enjoy McLaren hypercar performance. While this is certainly debatable – given that there will only be 500 Sennas ever produced – the N-Largo will be no less of a unicorn car, with Novitec committing to give only 15 examples <\/b>of the 720S the bavarian treatment.<\/p>\n
