{"id":343616,"date":"2019-02-28T14:55:02","date_gmt":"2019-02-28T14:55:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343616"},"modified":"2024-02-11T23:16:16","modified_gmt":"2024-02-11T23:16:16","slug":"audi-r8-v10-decennium-is-an-homage-to-the-v10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/audi-r8-v10-decennium-is-an-homage-to-the-v10\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Audi R8 V10 Decennium"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">It&#8217;s Quite the Tribute<\/h2>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/audi-r8-refreshed-for-2019\/\">Audi R8<\/a> you see here is the V10 Decennium. <strong>It&#8217;s Audi&#8217;s homage to the V10 engine<\/strong> and, as Audi says in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.audi-mediacenter.com\/en\/press-releases\/homage-to-ten-years-of-the-v10-engine-the-audi-r8-v10-decennium-11338\">press release<\/a>, &#8220;ten years of fascination on the road and success in motorsport.&#8221; <strong>The car is available only as a coupe and comes in a Daytona Gray paint job with some milled matte bronze wheels.<\/strong> The intake manifold comes in the same beautiful bronze color. The front spoiler, side sills, diffuser, and some other small accents come in a gloss black. <strong>Altogether, it&#8217;s one sinister-looking package.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The interior of the car is just as dark, featuring all-black materials. <strong>There&#8217;s diamond-quilted stitching on the seats, plenty of carbon fiber inlays, and contrast copper stitching on the gear shifter and steering wheel.<\/strong> The car also gets special badging that shows it is a V10 Decennium.\u00a0 It all comes together elegantly and works well with the exterior of the car.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This limited edition V10 Decennium is based on the top-spec R8.<\/strong> The car gets a <strong>5.2-liter V10 engine that produces 620hp and 428lb-ft of torque.<\/strong> The car can do the 0-60 mph sprint in just 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 205 mph. It&#8217;s just as much of a performer as any other version of the R8.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This special limited edition R8 will go on sale with the updated regular R8,<\/strong> but far fewer models will be produced. Audi said it would make only 222 units of the car, which will make it a rare version of the vehicle, indeed.
