{"id":343651,"date":"2019-03-01T14:19:12","date_gmt":"2019-03-01T14:19:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343651"},"modified":"2024-08-25T01:11:07","modified_gmt":"2024-08-25T01:11:07","slug":"hispano-suiza-cars-teases-more-of-the-carmen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/hispano-suiza-cars-teases-more-of-the-carmen\/","title":{"rendered":"Hispano-Suiza Cars Teases More of the Carmen"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">That&#8217;s a Good-Looking Rear End<\/h2>\n<p>We recently reported on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/could-hispano-suiza-make-a-comeback-with-its-electric-supercar\/\">Hispano Suiza Cars upcoming Carmen all-electric coupe<\/a>. <strong>The company continues to tease new shots of it ahead of the vehicle&#8217;s debut at the Geneva Motor Show.<\/strong> The car appears to be just as curvaceous and amazing as the Hispano Suizas of old.<\/p>\n<p>The Carmen will be a <strong>1,005 hp electric coupe with a 0 to 62 mph time of around 3 seconds and<\/strong> <strong>a limited top speed of 155 mph.<\/strong> When it debuts, the car will get an 80 kWh battery pack. However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2019\/02\/one-two-hispano-suiza-brands-geneva-teases-carmen-1005-hp-ev\/\">Carscoops<\/a> reports that by the time the vehicle hits production, the company may have a larger 105 kWh battery pack ready for use. That would put its <strong>range somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 miles per charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The car will <strong>feature a carbon monocoque chassis<\/strong> and this helps keep it light, which is extremely important both for range and performance. As is with the Hispano Suizas of old, the car will be extremely well-appointed with all the luxury trimmings you&#8217;d expect in a modern luxury vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;d better be pretty impressive, too, because <strong>the company set the price at $1.7 million.<\/strong> For that kind of money, Hispano Suiza recognizes the need to make the car special, and it will produce only 19 units.<\/p>\n<p>In an interesting twist, we recently reported on another car from a company bearing the Hispano Suiza name. Carscoops reports <strong>there are actually two different companies claiming the rights to that name.<\/strong> Both will debut cars at the Geneva Motor Show. The one showing the Carmen is actually called Hispano Suiza Cars, whereas the other debuting the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/hispano-suiza-manufaktur-ag-shows-off-the-maguari-hs1-gtc\/\">Maguari HS1 GTC<\/a> is called Hispano Suiza Manufaktur.
