{"id":343899,"date":"2019-03-12T14:58:53","date_gmt":"2019-03-12T14:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343899"},"modified":"2024-03-11T02:09:09","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T02:09:09","slug":"lamborghini-to-introduce-fourth-model-to-lineup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/lamborghini-to-introduce-fourth-model-to-lineup\/","title":{"rendered":"Lamborghini To Introduce Fourth Model to Lineup?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">A 2+2 GT Could be Coming<\/h2>\n<p>In a recent interview,<strong> Lamborghini&#8217;s CEO Stefano Domenicali said that a fourth model could be coming in the future.<\/strong> He spoke with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-news\/features\/ceo-stefano-domenicalis-five-step-plan-lamborghini\">Autocar<\/a> recently and said that once the automaker can increase volume and then stabilize that volume that a fourth Lambo model would make sense.<\/p>\n<p>He did not say how long this would take. <strong>&#8220;But we are not strong or stable enough to invest in a fourth model right now,\u201d<\/strong> Domenicali told Autocar.<\/p>\n<p>The company things volume with its current lineup could go as high as 8,000 units per year. This last year, the company sold a record-high 5750 vehicles, so there&#8217;s still a ways to go before they reach the point where a fourth vehicle could enter the lineup. <strong>When that does happen, though, the vehicle would likely be a 2+2 GT car.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe idea is for a grand tourer, a 2+2,\u201d Domenicali said. \u201cThat is something we are working on already.&#8221;<\/strong> What exactly that car will be like is yet to be determined. Lamborghini obviously knows, but it&#8217;s keeping the details of that development close to its vest at this point in the game.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2019\/03\/lamborghini-willing-to-introduce-a-22-gt-before-2025\/\">Carscoops<\/a> suggests it could be like <strong>the Lamborghini Estoque concept from a decade ago.<\/strong> That car would fit the profile for what Domenicali is talking about.
