{"id":343924,"date":"2019-03-13T13:37:50","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T13:37:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343924"},"modified":"2024-02-07T15:33:38","modified_gmt":"2024-02-07T15:33:38","slug":"could-aston-martins-am-rb-003-hypercar-get-the-name-valhalla","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/could-aston-martins-am-rb-003-hypercar-get-the-name-valhalla\/","title":{"rendered":"Could Aston Martin&#8217;s AM-RB 003 Hypercar Get the Name Valhalla?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Continuing the Norse Mythology With Its Names<\/h2>\n<p>The Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer had an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/europe.autonews.com\/geneva-auto-show\/aston-martin-hypercar-could-be-called-valhalla\">Automotive News Europe<\/a> and said, &#8220;Valhalla is a name we have registered in our naming book.&#8221; <strong>Due to the fact that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-aston-martin-am-rb-003-is-the-companys-third-mid-engine-supercar\/\">AM-RB 003 Hypercar<\/a> is currently without a name, it would make sense for the car to receive Valhalla as its name.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The use of the name Valhalla isn&#8217;t honestly too surprising. <strong>Valkyrie, which is the car that slots above the AM-RB 003, is a name from Norse mythology, so why not name the car that slots under it something in the same pantheon?<\/strong> The Valhalla name even works from an alliteration standpoint.<\/p>\n<p>The production version of the AM-RB 003 is still under development, but when it arrives it will be a force to be reckoned with. <strong>The car should have a V6 hybrid powertrain. The specifics for the powertrain&#8217;s output is not yet known. Aston hasn&#8217;t shared the information publicly.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aston plans to build <strong>500 of the model, and the car will cost over $1.3 million,<\/strong> according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2019\/03\/aston-martin-am-rb-003-hypercar-could-be-called-valhalla\/\">Carscoops<\/a>.
