{"id":343982,"date":"2019-03-20T14:11:41","date_gmt":"2019-03-20T14:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=343982"},"modified":"2024-05-14T23:26:16","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T23:26:16","slug":"ares-design-panther-project-spyder-confirmed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/ares-design-panther-project-spyder-confirmed\/","title":{"rendered":"Ares Design Panther Project Spyder Confirmed"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">A Modern Day De Tomaso Pantera Spyder<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;ve always loved the De Tomaso Pantera, and <strong>we&#8217;re thrilled to see Ares Design come out with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/ares-design-panther-project-1-is-styled-after-the-de-tomaso-pantera\/\">a car that was heavily inspired by the vehicle<\/a>.<\/strong> It&#8217;s like the modern-day car that we thought we&#8217;d never get. <strong>Now Ares Design has confirmed that it will build a Spyder variant of the car.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topgear.com\/car-news\/supercars\/ares-panther-progettouno-getting-spyder-version\">Top Gear<\/a>, Dany Bahar, who is the company&#8217;s boss, said that the deliveries for the coupe version of the car will begin getting to customers by the end of April. <strong>Then he said, &#8220;a few months later, [Ares] will present the Spyder version.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Panter Project is a car built on the Lamborghini Huracan. Lamborghini also has a Spyder version of the car, so Ares Design will likely use this version of the car to make the Spyder. According to Top Gear, <strong>only 70 Panter Project cars will be built. This includes both the coupe and Spyder.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As far as the performance numbers go, we&#8217;d expect them to be essentially the same as the coupe version of the car. It will be interesting to see how Ares Design manages with the styling of the car. <strong>The coupe version looks fantastic, so we&#8217;d imagine the convertible one will too, but you never know.<\/strong> Full details will be released at a later date when the company shows off the car.
