{"id":344179,"date":"2019-04-05T16:01:44","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T16:01:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=344179"},"modified":"2024-11-22T21:10:07","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T21:10:07","slug":"ferrari-restores-vintage-275-gtb-competizione-le-mans-car","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/ferrari-restores-vintage-275-gtb-competizione-le-mans-car\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrari Restores Vintage 275 GTB Competizione Le Mans Car"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">A Beautiful Yellow Ferrari<\/h2>\n<p><strong>If you want one to see a beautiful restoration of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/1965-ferrari-275-gtbc-speciale\/\">Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione<\/a>, then look no further than this masterfully restored one from the Ferrari Classic division.<\/strong> The owner brought his 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione to the division for a full restoration, and it was featured in <a href=\"https:\/\/magazine.ferrari.com\/en\/cars\/2019\/03\/08\/news\/ferrari-classiche-275-gtb-competizione-restoration-55462\/\">Ferrari&#8217;s official magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The car was originally painted \u2018Giallo Fly\u2019 yellow livery. <strong>Just four days after it left the Ferrari factory it competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.<\/strong> During that race, it placed second in its class and 10th overall. This car is a piece of automotive history and it deserved the practiced hands at the Ferrari Classic division.<\/p>\n<p>The car competed in several events. These included the Mont Ventoux hill climb and the Marathon de la Route race at the N\u00fcrburgring in the 1960s. <strong>It changed hands and was worked on by several different people over the years. when it arrived at the Ferrari Classic division, it was painted red and not in great shape.<\/strong> There were odd parts and vents all over the car from years of racing.
