It pairs Ferrari&#8217;s most powerful turbocharged V8 with three electric motors for a total power output of 989 hp. The car filters power through a new dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels, a Ferrari first. We did a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-powertrain-of-the-sf90-stradale-is-ferraris-most-advanced-ever\/\">deeper dive into the powertrain<\/a> yesterday to give you more of the details.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While the powertrain of the car is extremely interesting, what&#8217;s even more interesting is that <strong>Ferrari Chief Technology Officer Michael Leiters said the technology would be used on other cars, too.<\/strong> In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autoexpress.co.uk\/ferrari\/106996\/new-ferrari-hybrid-tech-to-spread-to-other-plug-in-models\">Auto Express<\/a>, the Ferrari executive said, &#8220;There will be other [hybrid] models, but with specific powertrain characteristics.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-345802 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3.jpg\" alt=\"Ferrari SF90 Stradale\" width=\"1959\" height=\"1102\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3.jpg 1959w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-100x56.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-770x433.jpg 770w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-293x165.jpg 293w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/ferrari_sf90_stradale_3-1400x788.jpg 1400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1959px) 100vw, 1959px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to Auto Express, these models will be less-powerful and less-expensive models. While it&#8217;s somewhat surprising that Ferrari would offer similar systems on other cars, it makes sense. <strong>The research and development was likely a huge cost for the company, and this is a way of getting the most on out if its hard work.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, this also could lower the exclusivity of the SF90 Stradale. It will still be the top-level Prancing Horse model, but it won&#8217;t be the only one with the latest and greatest technology. <strong>Auto Express said the company has confirmed it&#8217;s working on a V6 engine for lower down in the lineup, we would assume that is the engine Ferrari would integrate into the hybrid setup.<\/strong> We&#8217;d love to see a rebirth of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/video-custom-one-off-ferrari-dino-is-a-naturally-aspirated-screamer\/\">Ferrari Dino<\/a> as a hybrid model, but at this time, there&#8217;s no indication that will happen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Expect More Hybrid Ferraris The new range-topping Ferrari is here.
