It’s Been a Long Wait<\/h2>\n

In a car weighing only about 1,200 pounds, 400 hp is absolutely insane. However, that’s exactly what Peter and Nick Papanicolaou have built with their Spartan track car<\/a>. The brothers wanted a car with a high-speed experience unlike any other you could have, so they built their own car.<\/strong> According to Motor Authority<\/a>, the vehicle is now ready for production after more than a decade of development. <\/p>\n

The car features a carbon fiber body and a tubular space frame chassis. The car gets double unequal wishbones as well as \u00d6hlins shock absorbers. You can get adjustable dampers if you please. Powering the vehicle is a 2.4-liter supercharged four-cylinder sourced from Honda. <\/strong><\/p>\n

That engine puts out 400 hp and sits way back in the rear of the car. It sends power only to the rear wheels.<\/strong> The Papanicolaou brothers attached a Quaife sequential gearbox but you can have a six-speed manual transmission if you wish. The brakes for the car are made by Wilwood and feature six pistons calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear. The wheels are 16-inch alloys. <\/p>\n

While 400 hp might not sound like much in a day and age when many supercars and hypercars are making more than 1,000 hp. The car’s light weight makes it insanely quick. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed over 150 mph. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Aimed at track day enthusiasts and racers who want an extremely pure driving experience, the Spartan track car comes in with a price of $104,500. It can be shipped worldwide. Production will be limited to just 300 units. <\/strong><\/p>\n
