At the 2019 British Grand Prix<\/h2>\n

Aston Martin’s Valkyrie<\/a> made its first on-track appearance at Silverstone<\/strong> ahead of the 2019 British Grand Prix. The car was driven by Chris Goodwin. Goodwin is a test driver for Aston and definitely the right man for the job. He sounded thrilled to get the car out on the race track. <\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve driven this car around Silverstone for countless hours on the simulator at Aston Martin Red Bull Racing\u2019s HQ and in many other sportscars throughout my career, but to drive Aston Martin Valkyrie here today feels exceptionally special,<\/strong>” he said. “Of course, we still have a lot of development work to go but we can now begin to really push the physical testing process and realize the capabilities of what we have developed over the past months.”<\/p>\n

Goodwin had good reason to be so excited. The car looks absolutely amazing and has one of the most impressive internal combustion engines ever produced. It’s a massive 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 1,176 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque.<\/strong> Aston Martin teamed up with Cosworth<\/strong> to get this engine in the car. You can watch some of the highlights from the car’s run in the video below. What really got the goosebumps going was the sound. Good Lord, it sounds good. <\/p>\n
