{"id":348715,"date":"2019-08-08T13:53:23","date_gmt":"2019-08-08T13:53:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/?p=348715"},"modified":"2024-06-04T17:20:27","modified_gmt":"2024-06-04T17:20:27","slug":"the-tushek-ts-900-h-apex-is-a-937-hp-hybrid-hypercar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/the-tushek-ts-900-h-apex-is-a-937-hp-hybrid-hypercar\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Tushek TS 900 H Apex"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">A Powerful Hybrid from Slovenia<\/h2>\n<p>The new car from the Slovenian racing driver Alijosa Tushek&#8217;s company is <strong>the TS 900 H Apex.<\/strong> It&#8217;s a hybrid monster that builds upon the success of the company&#8217;s first car, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2012-tushek-renovatio-t500\/\">Renovatio T500<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The new TS 900 H Apex features carbon fiber bodywork and an <strong>Audi-sourced supercharged 4.2-liter V8 that&#8217;s combined with two electric motors for a total power output of 937 hp and 1032 lb-ft of torque.<\/strong> The power-split between the electric motors and the gasoline engine is roughly 50:50, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.evo.co.uk\/news\/22982\/tushek-ts-900-h-apex-revealed-as-937bhp-hybrid-hypercar\">EVO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The engine of the car is mounted in the rear and there is an electric motor at each axle that provides about half the power. The electric motors also enable a <strong>31-mile electric-only driving range,<\/strong> torque vectoring, and instant power delivery.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As we said above, the car gets a carbon-fiber body. It also gets a chrome-moly space frame to help keep weight down.<\/strong> The hardtop of the car is removable so owners can get some sun on nice days.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of performance, you&#8217;re looking at a car that can do a <strong>0-60 mph run in just 2.5 seconds.<\/strong> Its top speed? A whopping <strong>236 mph.<\/strong> The car comes with a special six-speed sequential gearbox that routes power to all four of the 19-inch BBS wheels wrapped in Pirelli Trofeo R tires.
