Unfortunate News for Our Friends In Europe<\/h2>\n

The 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500<\/a> is an insane car. It’s the fastest, most powerful, and most impressive Mustang the company has ever built, and Ford won’t sell it everywhere. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks<\/a>, the model will not be sold in European markets and some others due to the stricter emissions standards there. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The publication had the chance to discuss where the Blue Oval would sell the car in terms of markets around the world. Ford Performance Marketing Manager, Jim Ownes, was pretty clear in his response that the car would be sold in North America, Mexico, and the Middle East.<\/strong> It will not go to Europe and other parts of the world. <\/p>\n

This is a true shame for those markets. Drivers likely have an appetite for the car, but with stricter emissions standards, the big burly Mustang Shelby GT500 just won’t fit into the regulations.<\/strong> Even if Ford wanted to sell the car in Europe, Asian, and other markets, the company couldn’t. In those markets, Ford will have to focus on its other vehicles. <\/p>\n

Europe will still be able to purchase a 2020 Mustang,<\/strong> but it will have to be one of the other variants of the car. Either the EcoBoost Mustang or the Mustang GT. Both are still venerable performance cars. <\/p>\n
