The vehicle is a marvel of automotive engineering and recently set the record around the Nurburgring. <strong>Recent reports indicate that the car can make 700 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque briefly.<\/strong> This boost of power would come in handy in high-performance driving scenarios. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar.co.uk\/car-review\/porsche\/taycan\/first-drives\/porsche-taycan-2020-review\">Autocar<\/a>, the Taycan Turbo S has an overboost function that will shoot the power up to 700 hp for <strong>2.5-second bursts.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the publication, this should put the Taycan&#8217;s 0-62 mph time under the three-second mark despite its somewhat large body and overall heavy curb weight due to the batteries included with the car. <strong>Autocar&#8217;s Andrew Frankel had a chance to get behind the wheel of the Taycan<\/strong> to tell you what all it&#8217;s about and what it&#8217;s like to drive. We&#8217;ll not spoil his review, so head over to Autocar to check it out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What interests us is the overboost function he discusses. Both the Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S have this feature, but it&#8217;s only the Turbo S that will make 700 hp and 750 lb-ft of torque. That&#8217;s a ton of power.
