Tesla will try to beat that time.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At first, it looked like Tesla wouldn&#8217;t make the record attempt, but now it appears the company will try. Recently, a Model S was spotted with some exterior modifications and some of the stickiest rubber available to cars, <strong>Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Rs.<\/strong> All this points to the company making an attempt at the record.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Oh, gee, surprise, Tesla&#8217;s planning to cheat to try and set a lap time at the Nurburgring. Cool, cool. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/CSyIDf1ih9\">pic.twitter.com\/CSyIDf1ih9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Brian Gluckman (@bgluckman) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bgluckman\/status\/1171216200463814656?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 10, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;ll be interesting to see how the Tesla Model S does on the track. <strong>It would be cool to see Tesla and Porsche go to an all-out war at the racetrack over this.<\/strong> I bet with some mild modifications the Taycan could do a little better, and that would force Tesla to really go all out.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Tesla set the record for a four-door car at Laguna Seca Raceway.
