The First Model in a Long Time<\/h2>\n

Wiesmann is a small German automaker has teased its first new model in a decade. The company shared a few images of the car under a black sheet and then they shared a couple of close shots of the car.<\/strong> The company didn’t let out too many details but they did say that it would an evolution of the MF5. It will be called Project Gecko.<\/p>\n

The car will also be fitted with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8.<\/strong> That should make it Evo Magazine<\/a> says that the engine could be good for 600 hp and that should make the car’s 0-60 mph and its top speed extremely quick. <\/p>\n

Like with the previous car, the MF5, this new car will have an emphasis on driver engagement. The car should have a lightweight construction, front mid-engine, rear-wheel drive, and a 50:50 weight distribution.<\/strong> Roheen Berry, Wiesmann\u2019s chief executive, said the following about the car:<\/p>\n

This last true independent manufacturer of German sports cars is back and has an exciting future to look forward to. When we set out on this journey we said we wanted to re-engineer an icon and we are on track to do exactly that. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Production for the car will begin at a factory in D\u00fclmen, Germany, next year.<\/strong> Pricing and other details (hopefully some full images) will be released at a later date. When that information comes out, we’ll have it for you. <\/p>\n
