We recently reported on the fact<\/a> that they were there and that the company had scheduled time alone on the track. <\/p>\nThe Model S that laid down the fast lap time was a modified Model S that had been stripped down and had some aerodynamic elements added to its exterior. According to The Supercar Blog, this is an unofficial time. The time was reported by people at the track.<\/strong> Because the car wasn’t a production-spec model, the lap time can’t become an official time for a four-door electric car. <\/p>\nThe cars at the track feature a new powertrain called Plaid. This powertrain features three motors instead of the previously used two motos. The powertrain will hit for the 2020 model year.<\/strong> The cars at the track also featured roll cage, bigger wheels, wider fenders, lip spoilers, carbon-ceramic brakes, altered suspension setup, and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport RS rubber. The tires are track-focused but still street legal. <\/p>\nAccording to The Supercar Blog, the car will have two other track times.<\/strong> One on Wednesday (today) and one on Saturday.
