While the rest of the world downsizes and electrifies, Mercedes says the V12 will stay in the car. This kills the rumors that Mercedes was thinking of pulling the V12 from its vehicles.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daimler Chief Executive Ola Kallenius told <a href=\"https:\/\/gtspirit.com\/2019\/11\/22\/exclusive-v12-will-return-next-generation-mercedes-benz-s-class-2021\/\">GTspirit<\/a> that the next-generation S-Class will still be offered with the 12-cylinder engine.<\/strong> Kallenius did not go into details other than the fact that the car is expected to be introduced in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The S-Class isn&#8217;t expected to be wildly different from the current generation. The car will, however, receive notable updates to technology, lights, and other parts of the car. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carscoops.com\/2019\/12\/mercedes-benz-confirms-v12-will-live-on-in-next-gen-s-class\/\">Carscoops<\/a> recently published images of the new S-Class that showed the model in a camo wrap. <strong>While you can&#8217;t see everything, you can tell that the general shape of the car will be very similar to the current model.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The publication says the changes will continue on the inside with a redesigned interior and center console. This will feature a super large portrait-style touchscreen.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the V12 engine, the <strong>S-Class will be available with a straight-six gasoline engine and a straight-six diesel as well as a range of plug-in hybrid cars.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The V12 Lives On The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is the chief big car for the brand and you can get it with a V12.
