There’s a lot to love about the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500<\/a>. It’s the most muscular of all of Ford’s vehicles, but it’s not just a fast in a straight line. The car can make its way around a racetrack really quickly. Quicker than you might think. Quicker than a Porsche 911 GT3 RS? Not quite.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In a recent video posted to the ISSIMI Official YouTube channel, Jason Cammisa puts the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 up against a few of the current fastest vehicles. The GT500 beats the Dodge Challenger Hellcat in the quarter-mile and loses to a Ferrari 812 Superfast<\/a> in the same race. <\/strong><\/p>\n When Cammisa puts the GT500 on the track with the help of professional driver Randy Probst, it comes darn close to besting the Porsche 911 GT3 RS<\/a> around the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The GT500 manages to only be two-tenths of a second slower<\/strong> than the Porsche. That’s very close. Surprisingly close. The vehicle performs far better than we thought it would when it is put up against the GT3 RS.<\/p>\n If you’d like to watch the full video, you can below.
