2021 McLaren 765LT Announced<\/h1>\n

With their news conference and subsequent press release<\/a>, McLaren has unveiled the newest supercar of their Super Series lineup, the 765LT.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The 765LT builds upon the success of the 720S<\/a>, with the basic body shape of the 720S accentuated by a longer tail, lighter materials, and more power from the engine.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The new, longer tail adds a more aerodynamically aggressive spoiler that adds significant downforce over the rear wheels. The spoiler, rear bumper, and front splitter are all manufactured at the McLaren Composites Technology Center, where all the Formula 1 chassis and panels are made. This is the first of any McLaren car to use F1 grade carbon fiber composites in series production.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The entire car uses a new, lighter weave of carbon fiber that maintains, and in some areas improves on, the body rigidity of the 720S.<\/p>\n

\"v\"<\/p>\n

The same M840T 4.0L V8 engine is carried over from the 720S, but the electrically-operate twin scroll twin turbochargers have been dialed up to 11, delivering 755 HP (765 PS) and 590 lbs-ft of torque. This is mated to a 7-speed semi-automatic transmission that is made using Formula 1 grade materials and know-how.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

Carbon ceramic brake discs are standard, as are actively cooled brake calipers that are based on the Senna and Formula 1 brakes.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The 765LT features a full titanium exhaust system with quad tips to give a throatier, meaner sound than the 720S.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The interior is motorsport inspired and strips away all the unnecessary weight, with exposed carbon fiber covered with lightweight alcantara at key points. No audio system or air conditioning is fitted to save even more weight, but can be optionally added at no extra cost.<\/p>\n

\"McLaren<\/p>\n

The 765LT has a total run production of 765 units available worldwide. No pricing has yet been announced.<\/p>\n
