At the top end there were crazy\u00a0homologation specials\u00a0and cars like the\u00a0McLaren F1 which was launched in 1992 and became one of the most important cars of the decade.<\/p>\n<p>The Honda NSX and Porsche 911s of the era made true sports cars much faster, more usable and significantly more reliable. Dynamically they were much better too that anything from the 1980s. The year 1992 also ushered in a plethora of fun and fast hot hatches and AWD rally bred cars built on entry level cars anybody could afford.<\/p>\n<p>In Japan you had cars like the 300ZX, R32\/33\/34 GT-Rs and twin turbo Supras fighting Porsches and Ferraris for performance honors.
