Now in its eighth year, the Festival\u2019s \u201cLife\u201d exhibits honor American automotive culture and era-specific vehicles with a different theme each year, and this year will feature a collection of vehicles that have not previously been seen together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year\u2019s \u2018Life\u2019 exhibit celebrates the starring and supporting roles that automobiles have played throughout motion picture and television history,\u201d said Carolyn Vanagel, the Festival\u2019s President.<\/p>\n<p>The Festival is rolling out its red carpet for starring vehicles and tribute cars that have played some of the biggest roles in Hollywood, an exhibit headlined by vehicles such as the 1967 Volvo 1800S from TV\u2019s <em>The Saint<\/em> and the Aston Martin DB10 (above) from the recent James Bond film <em>Spectre<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the other cars with Hollywood connections that will grace the showfield are: the 1976 Lotus Esprit and a 1976 Lotus Esprit Marine from the James Bond film <em>The Spy Who Loved Me;<\/em> the 1983 DeLorean DMC-12 forever known as the Time Machine from <em>Back to the Future;<\/em> the 1959 Bentley S-1 from <em>Breakfast at Tiffany\u2019s; <\/em>the 1968 Ford Mustang GT500 \u201cEleanor\u201d from <em>Gone in 60 Seconds;<\/em> the 1974 Dodge Monaco that served as the \u201cBluesmobile\u201d for the <em>Blues Brothers;<\/em> and the #46 City Chevrolet from 1990\u2019s <em>Days of Thunder.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For further information please visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.HHIMotoringFestival.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.HHIMotoringFestival.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 15th annual Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival &amp; Concours d\u2019Elegance will pay tribute to the Silver Screen in this year\u2019s exclusive \u201cLife on the Silver Screen\u201d exhibit sponsored by the South Carolina Film Commission.
