This is almost a year old, but Henry Catchpole compared the new 992 generation Porsche 911 Carrera S against the car he believes to be one of its closest rivals, the Lotus Evora GT410 Sport. It’s really hard to pick a car to go up against the 911 Carrera S but the Lotus Evora is about right 2+2 sportscar in the right price bracket. Seems about right.<\/p>\n

It is fresh and new and as always it is a cracking car. Packed with technology, high quality materials and impeccable engineering it is the standard by which all others a measured.<\/p>\n Next to it is the Lotus Evora GT410 Sport. The Lotus Evora has been part of the Lotus model range<\/a> for over a decade now. Looking at the Current Lotus Model<\/a> the reality is that little has changed, it is still the car that needs to carry the load at Lotus.<\/p>\n So, which is better to drive? Most of us would pick the 911 if we were buying a car so lets ignore that for a second. If you had to choose one of these for a two hour, Sunday morning backroad run which we would go for?<\/p>\n
