The only previous attempt was with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/2003%e2%86%922006-ford-gt-2\/\">2003 Ford GT<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the latter part of the 20th Century, and for the start of the 21st, Ford had major investments in such companies as ProDrive, Jaguar, and even partially owned Aston Martin. They followed through with the Heritage Edition models in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
