The 2009 Russo and Steele “Monterey Sports and Muscle at the Marriott” auction will be held August 14th and 15th at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Monterey, California.<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele’s 9th annual auction, concurrent with the Monterey Car Week, offers a diverse set of 150 cars, ranging from European sports cars to American muscle and hot rods.<\/p>\n

Highlights include the ex-Ferry Porsche 1961 Porsche 356 Carrera 2 Cabriolet; 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS; 1970 Lamborghini Miura S; 1938 Bentley 4.25 Derby Coachwork by Vanden Plas; 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB\/4; 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Pinnin Farina Series II Cabriolet; 1953 Aston Martin DB2\/4 Prototype; 1965 Shelby GT350 R-Model and 1974-1975 Greenwood Chevrolet Corvette IMSA.<\/p>\n

Last year Russo and Steele offered 152 cars, with 72 finding new owners, reflecting a 47% sales rate. The total sales volume was $9,107,875 and the average price per car sold was $126,498.<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele’s Monterey Auction is located at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Monterey. Auction preview days will be from Thursday, August 13 through Saturday, August 15. The auctions will be held on Friday, August 14th and Saturday, August 15th, with both evenings starting at 5:00 PM.<\/p>\n
