\"\"<\/a>Historic Motorsports Productions (HMP), has teamed with Circuit Mont-Tremblant to launch HMP\u2019s inaugural Canadian vintage racing and lifestyle event, July 8-11, 2010. The event is billed as “Bobby Rahal’s Legends of Motorsports\u201d and is the third 2010 HMP event thus far officially announced.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s widely known that Canada has a rich and passionate love of auto racing,\u201d said champion race car driver and Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal.<\/p>\n

\u201cCircuit Mont-Tremblant is one of the jewels of North American road courses and the scene of many epic races among major series.\u201d<\/p>\n

Placed amid scenic Laurentian Mountain, the now 2.65-mile,15-turn track has twice previously hosted the Canadian Grand Prix of the Formula One World Championship. Likewise, the legendary Can-Am sports car series produced a number of its most memorable contests on the demanding circuit following a 1966 debut there.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the years, Circuit Mont-Tremblant has hosted many of the greatest drivers in the world, and Bobby Rahal is certainly among them,\u201c said track manager Vincent Loughran. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to have him return to our course. Along with Bobby and his HMP partners we are excited to present a true celebration of extraordinary people and racing machines.\u201d<\/p>\n

The vintage races at Mont-Tremblant will include a variety of classes and cars. These include GTP\/Group C; 3.0 Liter era Formula One; F.I.A. Championship of Makes; 2.0 Liter Sports Racers; Trans-Am; Can-Am; NASCAR; IMSA GT\/Production Cars; Formula Libre Cars and F5000.<\/p>\n

Along with vintage racing, the weekend\u2019s events will feature something for everyone \u2013 including a fashion show, racecar parade to St. Jovite and a racecar show and rally from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant. The additional events will serve to involve the local surrounding communities of Mont-Tremblant, St. Jovite and of course, Montreal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn terms of beautiful scenery and cultural sophistication on and off the track, there are few if any venues more attractive than Circuit-Tremblant,\u201d said Peter Stoneberg, founder and CEO of Historic Motorsports Productions. \u201cBobby Rahal is passionate about creating and delivering a superior event to Canadian fans and vintage racers alike. It is a superb track and a five star venue for racers, guests and spectators alike.\u201d<\/p>\n
