The Entry Forms for both races are being sent out this week to prospective participants and will be available online at www.mazdaraceway.com.<\/p>\n<p>The Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) will be the sanctioning body<\/p>\n<p>providing all of the rules, regulations and technical inspection for the Monterey Pre-Historics and Monterey Historic Automobile Races.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn our continuing efforts to keep everyone informed, we are announcing the classes and making the forms readily available to participants. This gives everyone involved the information to decide which cars to enter, with enough time to get the cars ready and make arrangements,\u201d said Gill Campbell, CEO\/general manager for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. \u201cContinuing in the tradition of this event, we anticipate cars of great heritage like the F1 cars, Bugattis in their own Grand Prix and for the first time \u2013 NASCAR with drum brakes.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>2010 Monterey Historic Automobile Race Featured Classes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Formula One 1966-1983<br \/>\nTrans-Am 1966-1972<br \/>\nStock Cars (with drum brakes) 1966-1975<br \/>\nBugatti Grand Prix<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Additional 2010 Monterey Historic Classes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Pre-1949 Sports and Racing Cars<br \/>\n1947-1955 GT and Sports Cars<br \/>\n1947-1955 GT and Sports Racing Cars<br \/>\n1955-1962 GT Cars<br \/>\n1955-1961 Sports Racing Cars under 2000cc<br \/>\n1955-1961 Sports Racing Cars<br \/>\n1961-1966 GT Cars under 2500cc<br \/>\n1964-1972 FIA Mfg. Championship Cars<br \/>\n1971-1976 FIA Mfg. Championship Cars<br \/>\n1973-1982 IMSA, GT, GTX, AAGT Cars<br \/>\n1981-1989 FIA Mfg. Championship &amp; IMSA GTP Cars<br \/>\n1959-1966 Sports Racing Cars<br \/>\n1963-1966 GT Cars over 2500cc<br \/>\n1958-1963 Formula Junior Cars<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for Entry Form submissions is January 31, 2010 to afford the selection committee ample time to review and select the period-correct historic cars.<\/p>\n<p>The Monterey Historic Automobile Races will be held August 12-15, 2010.
