\"\"<\/a>The 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale kicks off Monday, January 18th, running through Sunday, January 24th, with cars beginning to cross the block the afternoon of Tuesday, January 19th. Barrett-Jackson has welcomed more than 200,000 visitors to the Scottsdale event each of the last two years, and has another strong slate of collector cars and lifestyle activities to enjoy in 2010.<\/p>\n

The docket at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale will feature John Dillinger\u2019s Get-A-Way Car, a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe (Lot #1309); a 1963 Shelby Cobra CSX2091 (Lot #1303); a 1964 Shelby Cobra CSX2281 (Lot #1317); a first production 1966 Shelby GT350 (Lot #1302); a 1966 Mercury Comet flip top Funny Car (Lot #1306); the only airworthy 1929 Hamilton Metalplane H-47 in existence (Lot #1307); and a myriad of award-winning Chevrolet Corvettes, among many others.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur Scottsdale Auction is the largest and longest running auction of our four locations, so we have an event schedule that\u2019s at full capacity to celebrate,\u201d said Craig Jackson, CEO\/Chairman of Barrett-Jackson. \u201cThere is absolutely something for everyone, and this year in particular, we\u2019ve added some unique offerings including special appearances, educational seminars, health screenings and some amazing parties at The Stone Rose Garage, our special hangout and music lounge right in the middle of all the action.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Barrett-Jackson tradition, charity cars will be also be a focus with some modern Detroit muscle. Highlighting a long list of charity vehicles is the Richard Petty 2009 Dodge Challenger to benefit the Petty Family Foundation (Lot #1277); WD-40\/SEMA Cares 2010 Chevrolet Camaro to benefit Childhelp and Victory Junction Camp (Lot #962); original BF Goodrich\/Hurst 2010 Ford Mustang Pace Car to benefit Victory Junction Camp (Lot #701.2); and a 2008 SPX Ford Mustang FR500S to benefit St. Jude Children\u2019s Hospital (Lot #1027).<\/p>\n

In 2009, Barrett-Jackson sold 1,077 of 1,077 cars and one airplane for a $60,895,890 total. The average price per car sold was $56,542. In 2008, Barrett-Jackson sold 1,135 of 1,135 cars for an $84,475,985 total, with an average price per car sold of $74,428.<\/p>\n
