With 11 races on the programme and around 250 vehicles entered, there was plenty to watch as the cars competed on the National circuit layout.<\/p>\n<p>Star of the event for many was the 1905 Darracq 200HP with its 25.422 litre engine. Recently restored by Mark Walker over a three year period, the car was making its VSCC debut in the title race of the day, the GP Itala and Lanchester Trophies race for pre-1930 racing cars. The race and trophies were won by last year&#8217;s winner, Geraint Owen in a 1930 Bugatti T35B. Mark Walker managed to get the oldest car to the finish in 20th place, only two laps down on the winner.<\/p>\n<p>The 1950s Sports Cars race proved to be a walk in the park for Canadian and North American cars. Julian Majzub driving the Canadian-built 5.4 litre Sadler MkIII had opened up a good lead half way round the first lap. After 10 laps his winning margin was over 23 seconds from the Lister Jaguar Knobbly of Crispin Harris. Third place went to another car originally from the other side of the Atlantic, a 1954 Kurtis 500 S which also won its class being driven by Christopher Keen.<\/p>\n<p>The Historic Grand Prix Cars Association put on a great race for pre-1966 Grand Prix cars. Jan Biekens drove a superb 1961 yellow shark nose Ferrari 156, but was not in contention for victory. The race was won by Enrico Spaggiari driving a 1960 Cooper T53.<\/p>\n<p>The whole meeting was a great success.<\/p>\n<p>Click or complete results: <a
