A spectacular fly-in of vintage Stinson aircraft and a B-25 World War II bomber will herald the start of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club inaugural Ab Jenkins Memorial Exhibition of Speed &amp; Stinson Fly-in, one of the highlights at the Club\u2019s 55th Annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Reunion. This singular exhibition affords a rare and wonderful opportunity to witness the spectacle of Duesenberg motorcars racing side by side in the ultimate gentleman\u2019s drag race.<\/p>\n<p>The town\u2019s celebrated Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum will host its annual Benefit Extravaganza and Gala Ball whilst Auburn\u2019s newest auction company, Classical Event Auctions is planning its 1st annual \u201cClassic Event Auction\u201d with 300 cars expected. Auctions America by RM will have their inaugural auction at the Auburn Auction Park. Worldwide Auctioneers has announced the addition of a three day, 450 car line-up in addition to its Saturday evening catalog auction of 80 exceptional motorcars. Several important cars are already consigned to the catalog, including a stunning 1929 Duesenberg Model J LeBaron Dual Cowl Phaeton.<\/p>\n<p>Festivities run from Thursday, September 2nd through Monday, September 6th, 2010. Details of the complete schedule along with ongoing updates of events are available from the DeKalb County Visitors Bureau, Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and all participating organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAuburn has long been the bedrock of the collector car community,\u201d said Auburn Mayor, Norm Yoder. &#8216;Over the years some of the most important cars ever built were bought and sold here, by people who made the journey to the Auburn Automobile Company in the 1920s and \u201830\u2019s and in later years, to auction.
