The Concours d\u2019Elegance of America at Meadow Brook 2010 event was held Sunday, July 25 on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, Michigan.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The 2010 Concours d\u2019Elegance of America at Meadow Brook (formerly known as Meadow Brook Concours) showcased more than 100 years of automotive history, with a field of over 200 cars along with a range of vintage motorcycles on display. Entries hailed from across 25 states as well as Canada for judging in 20 classes, including drag cars, speedsters, space-age sport coupes, celebrity-owned cars and traditional Concours cars.Despite wild weather earlier in the weekend\u2019s event program, conditions cleared for Concours Sunday, with close to 10,000 automotive enthusiasts in attendance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were overly pleased with the weekend\u2019s event. With cars coming from 25 states, the field represented one of our most diverse showings in history, with some of the greatest automobiles ever built on display,\u201d says Larry Moss, Chairman of the Car Selection Committee, Concours d\u2019Elegance of America at Meadow Brook.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere was truly something for everyone and all elements came together well to make for a great and memorable day with strong attendance,\u201d Moss adds.<\/p>\n

The 32nd annual Concours d\u2019Elegance of America at Meadow Brook saw a 1929 Duesenberg Model J Dual Cowl Phaeton and a 1938 Talbot-Lago 150-C Teardrop Coupe taking home the top prizes. Owned by John Groendyke of Enid, OK, the 1929 Duesenberg Model J, resplendent in its rich blue and red, was judged \u2018Best in Show American\u2019, while the 1938 Talbot-Lago, stunning in its two-tone silver and shown from the Off Brothers Collection in Richland, MI, was awarded \u2018Best in Show European\u2019.<\/p>\n

A 1947 Vincent Series \u2018B\u2019 Rapide owned by Bar and Hedy Hodgson of Ashburn, Ontario Canada, received \u2018Best in Show Motorcycle\u2019.<\/p>\n

A featured attraction at this year\u2019s show and garnering strong interest from onlookers, was a special GM Motorama display, featuring four, one-of-a-kind concept cars from renown Chicago collector, Joe Bortz. The display included the unique 1955 Chevrolet Biscayne which was shown for the first time in its fully-restored glory and presented with the \u2018Debut Award\u2019.<\/p>\n

Connecting to the event\u2019s local Michigan roots, a 1941 Packard Super Eight One Eighty-Darrin, owned by Malcolm Pray of Greenwich, CT, also joined the winner\u2019s circle, receiving the \u2018Spirit of Detroit\u2019 award.<\/p>\n

After the event, the Concours d\u2019Elegance of America announced it was leaving Meadow Brook Hall after more than 30 years, relocating to The Inn at St John\u2019s in Plymouth, Michigan for the July 31, 2011 Concours. (Click for Story<\/a>).<\/p>\n
