\"\"<\/a>The Hillsborough Concours d\u2019Elegance 2010 was staged September 12th at the Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, California.<\/p>\n

Historically held in May at the North Elementary School playing fields in Hillsborough, the organizers of the Hillsborough Concours d\u2019Elegance moved to the event to the Crystal Springs Golf Course for 2010 due to the convenience of its location, in addition to the scenic layout adjacent to the Crystal Springs Reservoir.<\/p>\n

The featured marque of 54th annual Hillsborough Concours d\u2019Elegance was Alfa Romeo, in honor of their centennial. The 18th fairway at Crystal Springs also featured several generations of Ford Thunderbird\u2019s to complement more than 20 different judged classes of automobiles, to total more than 200 cars.<\/p>\n

The 1933 Rolls Royce PII Continental of Jay and Christina Moore was elected Best of Show, while the People’s Choice Award for the “car they would most like to drive home” today was awarded to the 1965 Shelby Mustang GT350 of James Barron. The Hillsborough Cup for “engineering design, coachwork, historical significance and rarity” was awarded to the 1939 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500SS Berlinetta Aerodinamica of Wayne Barnes.<\/p>\n

The event weekend also featured the 10th annual Hillsborough Tour d\u2019Elegance where \u2018The Drive is Half the Fun!\u201d The 2011 Tour involved a magnificent drive on some of the Bay Area\u2019s most scenic roads, plus special events like a visit to Tesla Motors.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the Hillsborough Concours d\u2019Elegance 2010 and its associated activities benefited Autism Speaks, a national charity with the goal to change the future for all who struggle with autism spectrum disorders; the 49ers Foundation, which supports development programs for underserved youth that keep them \u2018Safe, on Track and In School;\u2019 and the Hillsborough Schools Foundation.<\/p>\n
