\"\"<\/a>The Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival 2010 took place the weekend of June 4-6, at Infineon Raceway Sears Point in Sonoma, California. The “inaugural” Sonoma Historics built on the success of the popular Wine Country Classic that event organizer General Racing produced in Sonoma for 23 years.<\/p>\n

General Racing’s Steve Earle reportedly asked competitors to bring their interesting street cars into the paddock in an effort to build fan interest. This resulted in numerous interesting cars, everything from an Alfa Romeo station wagon, McLaren F1, Morris Minor van, 1932 Ford \u201cHigh Boy\u201d hot rod, Mercedes-Benz 300SL and many others. Add a number of motorcycles such as a Royal Enfield 500cc single and a Flying Merkel twin with all white tires, and you had a real exhibit of \u201cPaddock Candy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Photographer Dennis Gray documented the Sonoma Historic Festival for Sports Car Digest.
