{"id":369210,"date":"2011-01-17T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T13:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/?p=32866"},"modified":"2024-01-17T09:36:58","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T09:36:58","slug":"club-artistes-auto-searching-for-new-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/club-artistes-auto-searching-for-new-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Club Artistes Auto Searching for New Members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Will Silk<\/p>\n<p>Artists Nicolas Cancelier of Belgium, Paul Chenard of Canada, Anna-Louise Felstead of the United Kingdom\u00a0and Rick Rucker of the United States\u00a0have created an international organization of automotive artists entitled\u00a0Club Artistes Auto (CAA).\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-795754\" src=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971-100x73.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/Ferrari-Barcelona-1971-293x212.jpg 293w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a>The goal of the new organization is to assist automotive artists on an international level by pooling resources to get their art more widely known across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>There is no age restrictions to join the CAA, however, all applicants will be required to submit a portfolio to be reviewed by a panel of four judges, with skill and creativity of the applicant being priorities.\u00a0 Judges on the panel will serve a one-year term, as after the first year the four founding member judges will give the portfolio review responsibility to a new set of member judges, each judge responsible for finding their replacement.<\/p>\n<p>The new organization also wishes to encourage new\u00a0idea and technique exchanges amongst its members.\u00a0 The CAA wants to offer\u00a0shared events, where the group\u00a0would book\u00a0their booths together so that\u00a0they can watch for each others booths, and socialize together while enjoying the event.\u00a0\u00a0A dinner after the day&#8217;s event would also be included.\u00a0 Joint promos and the\u00a0organizing of\u00a0art exhibitions at major events is also a planned benefit, allowing members to take part in events that perhaps would not be open to them individually.\u00a0 With a strong membership of quality automotive artists, the CAA will be able to reserve a block of booths for\u00a0members\u00a0attending events, and in some instances, get a discounted rate.
