Joining those entries at Barber Motorsports Park to race the 2.38 mile natural terrain road course are a Porsche 908\/3 and Ferrari 250 LM from a noted private collection and the 2010 Legends Motorsports Car of the Year owned by John Giordano, a 1969 Ferrari 512S. Some of the noted cars will be racing for the first time at an American historic racing event.<br \/>\n\u201cI\u2019m impressed with the entries we\u2019ve seen so far for Barber,\u201d said Bobby Rahal, Series Co-Founder and 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner. \u201cIt is amazing to think about these cars being on track and racing at an event as they truly are some of the most spectacular historic racing cars in the country and most of them have not raced in years so this should be something pretty special.\u201d<br \/>\nThe Legends of Motorsports Barber Motorsports Park 2011 weekend ticket includes free paddock access, allowing spectators a chance to see firsthand the legacy and history behind the cars and participants as well as the opportunity to see these cars in action on the track during class specific races. Other planned activities include fan forums, autograph sessions, car club corrals and track laps and a family-friendly kids\u2019 zone. The weekend kicks off with a Road Rally on Friday evening, starting at Barber Motorsports Park and culminating at a street festival in downtown Mountain Brook.
