The ground-breaking 550, Porsche\u2019s first purpose-built race car, will figure prominently among the scores of 1950-1965 Porsche race cars to be celebrated this fall at the event.<br \/>\nThe painting is the work of renowned automotive and nautical artist Roy E. Dryer III (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.roydryer.com\">www.roydryer.com<\/a>). Mr. Dryer has created the official artwork for many premier Northern California events including the Speedster 50th Anniversary Event and the Tahoe Wooden Boat Show.<br \/>\nAn 18\u201d x 24\u201d, four-color poster of the artwork will be printed in limited quantities and presented to car-owner participants, ticket buyers, and special guests on the day of Porsche Race Car Classic 2011 where Mr. Dryer will be available to autograph posters.
