The Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 auction will be held 1 July on the Tapestry Lawn at Goodwood House in Chichester, Sussex.
\nBonhams has gathered a selection of 100 automobiles for the 19th annual Goodwood Festival of Speed Sale, headlined by the ex-Innes Ireland 1954 Aston Martin DB2\/4 Cabriolet, ex-Paul McCartney 1967 Lamborghini 400GT and 1925 Bugatti Type 35B Grand Prix, among other sports, touring and competition cars.
\nThe 1954 Aston Martin DB2\/4 Cabriolet by Bertone was previously owned by that legendary British Grand racing character, Innes Ireland. Recently restored to concours condition, this DB2\/4 has a pre-sale estimate of \u00a3500,000 \u2013 700,000.
\nThe well-known, competition-winning 1925 Bugatti Type 35B Grand Prix two-seater was formerly owned by past Bugatti Owners\u2019 Club director and editor of Bugantics magazine, Mr Jack Perkins. Expected to fetch \u00a3400,000 \u2013 500,000, it is accompanied by another beautiful Bugatti, a 1926 Type 37 Monoposto, estimated at \u00a3120,000 \u2013 160,000.
\nOther highlights include a 1967 Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 once owned by Sir Paul McCartney, expected to realise \u00a3100,000 \u2013 120,000; two cars from the Patrick Collection \u2013 the 1986 Lancia Delta S4 Stradale and 1990 Alfa Romeo SZ Coupe \u2013 which have attracted pre-sale estimates of \u00a380,000 \u2013 100,000 and \u00a320,000 \u2013 25,000 respectively; and a 1928 Bentley 3-Litre Speed Model (estimate \u00a3120,000 \u2013 140,000), owned by the same family since 1945. Another notable entry is the stylish 1952 Mercedes-Benz 300S Cabriolet with coachwork by Sindelfingen that is estimated to sell for \u00a3195,000 – 215,000.<\/p>\n

A modern highlight is the 2004 7.3-Litre Pagani Zonda C12 Roadster, painted in an \u2018Elvis Presley Cadillac Pink\u2019, which has had only one owner from new, and is estimated to fetch \u00a3200,000 \u2013 250,000.
\nFor racing aficionados, a BMC Competition Department Transporter, which is described by Bonhams as \u2018an eye-catching and stylish addition to any historic race meeting\u2019, has attracted a pre-sale estimate of \u00a330,000 \u2013 40,000, while boat enthusiasts will covet a 1992 Hacker 28\u2019 Runabout, which was commissioned by J Paul Getty as a tender to his 80-metre private yacht, Talitha G, expected to fetch \u00a335,000 \u2013 45,000. The ex-Gerry Marshall, Dealer Team Vauxhall, Forward Trust Special Saloon Car Championship-winning 1971 Vauxhall Firenza Competition Saloon ‘Old Nail’ is expected to bring \u00a330,000 – 40,000, while the ex-Bill Summers 1933 MG Magnette K-Type Supercharged Monoposto is estimated at \u00a3100,000 – 120,000.<\/p>\n

In addition, Bonhams will be offering a fantastic 47-strong single owner collection of Heuer watches at the 2011 sale, comprising 19 wristwatches, two pocket watches, assorted racing timers and group lots of sports timers, all from the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Classic Heuer chronographs, such as the ever popular Monaco, as well the Autavia, Carrera , Montreal and Calculator, will go under the hammer, as will entry level collectors\u2019 pieces including five different versions of the Jacky Ickx Easy Rider model .
