\"\"<\/a>The 17th annual Keels & Wheels Concours d\u2019Elegance will be held May 5-6, 2012 at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Houston, Texas.
\nDuring the past 16 years, the Keels & Wheels Concours d\u2019Elegance has established itself as a premier event in the region. With the news that the debut Concours d’Elegance of Texas<\/a> will be held the same weekend as Keels & Wheels and<\/em> within the same Houston metro area, we asked Keels & Wheels Chairman Robert Fuller to respond about the future of the event.
\nFuller commented, \u201cOur two goals have always been to share outstanding motor cars and boats and to raise money for worthy charities. For 2012, to provide an even better experience for our attendees, sponsors and vendors, Keels and Wheels has dramatically increased its area for displaying collector cars, along with enhanced space for sponsor presentations and vendor displays. To make this happen, Keels and Wheels has ended its relationship with the Worldwide Group auction company.”
\nFuller continued, “As Keels & Wheels prepares for our 17th Annual Concours d\u2019 Elegance, scheduled for May 5-6, 2012, we reflect with pride on the achievement of contributing in excess of $1 million to charity. With the help of our sponsors, exhibitors and volunteers, we have supported many worthy charities. Moving forward, Keels and Wheels will remain focused on producing one of the top concours events in the country, displaying the finest examples of classic automobiles and vintage wooden boats, brought by major collectors from throughout the United Sates, and start on contributing another $1 million in support of worthy causes, such as the young men and women of Boys & Girls Harbor.”
