The Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival 2011 was held June 3-5, at Infineon Raceway Sears Point in Sonoma, California. Led by featured marque McLaren, the field of 400 historic race cars were enjoyed by spectators and participants alike.<\/p>\n

The highlights of the racing action were the 12 McLaren Can-Am cars roaring around the 12-turn, 2.52 mile Infineon Raceway Sears Point road course, in addition to no less than three Maserati 250F racers battling with each other. While the on-track action was the raison d’etre for the weekend, plenty of interesting items were to be found in the paddock, including the jewel-like details on the Bugattis and the powerful, raw stance of the stationary Can-Am beasts. Similar to our 2011 Sonoma Historics report<\/a>, photographers Dennis Gray and Bob Ross offer the following “Behind the Scenes” pictures that offer a glimpse into the many mechanical marvels found in the paddocks of the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival.<\/p>\n
