The Legends of the Autobahn 2012 will be staged Friday, August 17th at the Rancho Canada Golf Club in Carmel Valley, California.<\/p>\n

Hosted by the BMW Car Club of America, Mercedes-Benz Club of America, the Porsche Club of America and, new for 2012, the Audi Club of North America, the third annual all-German marque Concours brings together enthusiasts, owners and aficionados of distinctive German cars to view some of the finest marques in the world.<\/p>\n

Attendees to the one-day Legends of the Autobahn event will not only find the Concours display, but also a car corral, vendors, gourmet food and, of course, the camaraderie of fellow car enthusiasts. As was done at the 2010<\/a> and 2011<\/a> events, each German car club will have their own respective parking corral and judging areas and conduct their own judging and awards ceremonies. There will be a “Best of Show” award, People’s Choice, and other special awards.<\/p>\n

The 2012 Legends of the Autobahn will honor the legendary CSL of BMW Motorsport fame, with special parking for racing or street CSLs and any early CS (coupe) models are also welcome. Mercedes-Benz will have a special display of Gullwings, along with other special classics from Stuttgart. The featured Porsche model for 2012 will be the 991, Porsche\u2019s newest evolution of the 911. The 991s will be joined by their ancestors from the classic 911 line, historic 356s and all other Porsche models. Audi will display a number of interesting models, both new and old.<\/p>\n

For those interested in entering the Concours (1991 or older vehicles), a $60 entry fee will apply. For those wishing to enter their vehicle in display-only corral (any vintage), a $30 entry fee will apply. To register, visit MotorSportReg.com<\/a>. The discounted registration ends August 1, and all registration closes on August 12.<\/p>\n
