The Russo and Steele Monterey Auction 2012 will be held August 16-18 by Fisherman’s Wharf on the waterfront in downtown Monterey, California. The 12th annual Russo and Steele Monterey sale will see more than 250 cars cross the auction block in Russo’s interactive and entertaining fashion.<\/p>\n

Headlining the 2012 Russo and Steele Monterey sale is the 1965 Ferrari 400 Coupe Superamerica; 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Cabriolet Pininfarina Series II; 1965 Aston Martin DB5 Coupe; 1965 Shelby Cobra 289; 1956 Alfa Romeo Sprint Veloce; 1954 Fiat Stanguellini Berlinetta; and 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Coupe; among others.<\/p>\n

The 1960 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Series II Cabriolet, s\/n #2077 GT, features a restoration by Antique Auto Restoration, with extensive receipts and documentation of the undertaking. It’s offered with a platinum required tool kit and the original Heritage Certificate #0001061 issued by Ferrari.<\/p>\n

Russo and Steele Monterey 2012 – Digital Catalog<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

In 2011, Russo and Steele offered 222 cars, with 144 finding new owners, reflecting a 65% sales rate. The total sales volume was $8,507,336 and the average price per car sold was $59,079. Top sale went to the 1966 Ferrari 275 GTS at $654,500, followed by the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 that made $286,000 and the 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda that brought $198,000.<\/p>\n

The Russo and Steele Monterey Auction 2012 will be staged August 16-18 on the waterfront in Monterey, a change from previous years at the nearby Marriott Hotel. The new location is still in downtown Monterey, now adjacent to the Fisherman’s Wharf on Del Monte Avenue and Figueroa Street. Russo and Steele will introduce a structure similar to its popular Scottsdale layout that will afford an “all-encompassing environment” to hold the event elements including the main auction block, vehicle staging, food and beverage service, VIP Bidder Areas, vendors, sponsors and all the amenities that are typically associated with Russo and Steele events.<\/p>\n
