Sir Stirling Moss OBE and Simon Taylor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Motor racing icon Sir Stirling Moss OBE was the featured guest at the Breakfast at JD Classics event, held Sunday 18 November 2012 at the JD Classics facility in Maldon, England.<\/p>\n

The popularity of Sir Stirling Moss OBE attending \u2018Breakfast at JD Classics\u2019 turned this fixture into an invitation-only event. The doors opened at 8.30am and visitors were keen to get the best seat in the house in advance of the 10.30am guest speaker start time.<\/p>\n

Journalist and commentator Simon Taylor commanded the stage for a question-and-answer session, his knowledge offering insight into Sir Stirling Moss\u2019s racing career. This prompted riveting and often comical accounts from Moss about his early Cooper 500 days right up to his near fatal accident at Goodwood in 1962.<\/p>\n

JD Classics also displayed a diverse mix of two and four-wheeled vehicles within its in-house facilities. This offered visitors an opportunity to get up close to JD Classics\u2019 unique projects, the Jaguar Heritage Racing \u2018works\u2019 vehicles, Mercedes-Benz 300 SLs, historic Ferraris and a full spectrum of Jaguars, to name but a few.<\/p>\n

Another special guest was Mission Motorsport, a charity of which Sir Stirling Moss is a patron. Run by veterans, serving officers and motorsport professionals, its mission is to aid the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through motorsport.<\/p>\n

The Sir Stirling Moss event was this year\u2019s final one. The 2013 \u2018Breakfast at JD Classics\u2019 calendar will be announced in January.<\/p>\n

Derek Hood, Managing Director, JD Classics said, \u201cHaving Sir Stirling Moss as the guest speaker along with his associated charity, Mission Motorsport, was the perfect way to finish off JD Classics\u2019 events for 2012.
