The Bonhams Boca Raton Auction 2013 will be staged Saturday, February 23rd on the grounds of the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida. Held in conjunction with the 7th annual Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, the inaugural Bonhams automobile auction in Florida will see a strong selection of nearly 60 European and American automobiles cross the auction block.
\nAmong the headline entries at the Bonhams Boca Raton sale include the 1965 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Shooting Brake, one of just six ever built. Originally conceived by Aston Martin’s director, David Brown, to carry his guns and dogs, the Radford coachbuilt conversions were a no-expense-spared exercise in the ultimate sportsman\u2019s sports car. This particular example is left-hand drive and sports options such as air conditioning and Vantage specifications (Estimate $575,000 \u2013 625,000).
\nAmong other offerings, the matching-numbers 1967 Porsche 911 Targa Soft Window Coupe (Estimate $ 80,000 \u2013 100,000) is notable for its single family ownership and documented restoration by marque specialists Amalfi Racing. The 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB\/4 Spider Conversion (Estimate $ 350,000 \u2013 380,000) was delivered new in Italy finished in Marrone Metallizzato, while the 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale (Estimate $140,000 \u2013 160,000) comes to the market following a six-year rebuild.
\nAlso expected to garner interest is the 1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2 Liter Roadster (Estimate $125,000 \u2013 145,000) that has only covered 20,000 miles from new, the dual-engined 1962 Citroen 2CV Sahara 4×4 (Estimate $ 50,000 \u2013 80,000) that have become quite collectible<\/a> as of late or the ever-desirable 1947 Chrysler Town and Country Convertible (Estimate $120,000 \u2013 140,000).
\nThe Bonhams Boca Raton auction will be held Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida. Admission comes with purchase of a catalog for $75, which admits two people. Previews for the motorcars and automobilia will take place on Friday, February 22nd from 10am to 6pm. The automobilia sale begins at 10:00am on Saturday, February 23rd with the motor cars to follow at 12:00pm.
