{"id":370116,"date":"2013-02-13T08:00:23","date_gmt":"2013-02-13T13:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/?p=46639"},"modified":"2024-12-01T22:26:01","modified_gmt":"2024-12-01T22:26:01","slug":"ferrari-250-lm-honored-at-2013-goodwood-revival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.supercars.net\/blog\/ferrari-250-lm-honored-at-2013-goodwood-revival\/","title":{"rendered":"Goodwood Revival (2013) &#8211; Ferrari 250 LM Honored"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 50th anniversary of the mid-engined Ferrari 250 LM will be celebrated at the 2013 Goodwood Revival, scheduled for 13-15 September at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex, UK.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the <a title=\"Ford GT40 Race at 2013 Goodwood Revival\" href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/ford-gt40-race-at-goodwood-revival-2013\/\">Ford GT40<\/a> that Goodwood will also honor in 2013, the Ferrari 250 LM celebrates its half century this year, having premiered at the Paris salon late in 1963.Also like the Ford, the 250 LM went on to win the Le Mans 24 Hours race, with the North American Racing Team-entered car \u2013 driven by Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory \u2013 taking the chequered flag in the 1965 event. This remains the last time Ferrari took overall victory in the French endurance classic.<\/p>\n<p>The 250 LM raced in the Tourist Trophy at Goodwood in 1964, where it finished fourth, and last competed in this race in the modern era at the Revival in 2000. An example of the Ferrari has also run in the Whitsun Trophy race at the Revival in various years.<\/p>\n<p>For the 2013 Revival, a number of Ferrari 250 LMs will be returning to the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race for the first time in 13 years, campaigning against competition from Ferrari 250 GTOs, AC Cobras, lightweight Jaguar E-types, Maserati 151s, Aston Martin DB4s, and many other machines.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets, grandstand seats, camping and other products for the 2013 Goodwood Revival can be purchased via the <a title=\"Goodwood Motorsport\" href=\"http:\/\/www.goodwood.com\/motorsport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goodwood website<\/a>, or the Ticket Hotline at +44 (0)1243 755055.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Ferrari 250 LM at Goodwood Revival &#8211;
