In addition, Porsche has signed on as a sponsor of the inaugural event.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Porsche sponsorship is a welcome development which adds an exciting new dimension to the Pinehurst Concours,\u201d said Bob Ingram, Pinehurst Concours Honorary Chairman and noted Porsche collector.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are pleased to be a sponsor of the inaugural Pinehurst Concours,\u201d said David Kurtz, Vice President, Area South, Porsche Cars North America. \u201cThis event provides us with an ideal environment to celebrate our heritage and to allow participants and attendees the opportunity to experience our current products at the same time.\u201d<br \/>\nKurtz said the Pinehurst Concours is also another occasion to help honor the 50-year anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911. In addition to the judged Porsche show class, the latest models from the German marque will be on site to see and drive.<br \/>\nA show field of 118 vintage automobiles will be staged on the fairways of Pinehurst Resort on Sunday, May 5th &#8212; a number to honor the 1895 founding of the historic North Carolina resort.
