The RM Auctions Monterey 2014 auction will be held August 15th and 16th at the Portola Hotel and Monterey Convention Center in Monterey, California. RM\u2019s 29th annual flagship two-day Monterey sale will feature 36 cars estimated to sell in excess of $1 million and five estimated to bring more than $4 million.<\/p>\n

In 2013, the RM Monterey sale generated $125 million, entering the history books as the highest grossing collector car auction of all time. This year\u2019s sale is set to eclipse this figure, with a selection of 130 automobiles focused on Ferraris and historic sports and racing cars. Headline consignments at the 2014 RM Auctions Monterey<\/a> sale include the 1965 Ford GT40 Roadster Prototype; 1964 Ferrari 250 LM by Scaglietti; 1963 Ferrari 400 SA LWB Coupe Aerodinamico Series II by Pininfarina; 1911 Mercer Type 35R Raceabout; 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB\/C Speciale by Scaglietti; 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Sports Coupe Cabriolet by Barker; 1960 Aston Martin DB4GT and the ex-Steve McQueen 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB\/4 by Scaglietti.<\/p>\n

The 2014 RM Auctions Monterey sale presents a stable of 32 Ferraris. Representing more than 50 years of production, the selection spans from a 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa Coupe<\/a> by Pinin Farina to a 2006 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. Notable highlights include:<\/p>\n
