The 2nd year event saw a field of more than 350 entrants tackle the challenging road course that annually hosts the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.<\/p>\n<p>The field at the SVRA US Vintage Racing National Championship 2014 competed in 13 race groups and two enduros, with a national champion crowned in each class. The event featured close competition in all groups and showcased almost 100 years of historically significant automobiles.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting and notable cars at the SVRA U.S. Nationals 2014 included the 1970 Porsche 908\/3; 1964 BRP BRM F1; 1990 Chevrolet Intrepid GTP; 1969 Chevron B16; 1997 Benetton B197 Formula 1; 1969 Eagle F5000; 1975 Chevrolet Dekon Monza; 1959 Lister Costin; 1959 Cooper Monaco T49; 1935 Pirrung Special Riding Mechanic; 1948 Talbot-Lago T26C; 1969 Lola T163 Can-Am; 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0-Liter; 1974 Shadow DN4 Can-Am and 2005 Audi R8 LMP.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the <a title=\"2013 SVRA Vintage Racing National Championship Photo Gallery\" href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/svra-us-vintage-racing-national-championship-2013-picture-gallery\/\">2013 races<\/a>, photographer Michael DiPleco also documented the 2014 running of the U.S. Vintage Racing National Championship by SVRA, offering the following pictures of the historic race cars navigating Circuit of the Americas.
