The entry request process continues through January 31, 2015 and is conducted exclusively at <a title=\"Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca\" href=\"http:\/\/MazdaRaceway.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MazdaRaceway.com<\/a>. Each year, upwards of 900 submissions arrive from across the country and internationally, with the owners\u2019 hoping to be one of the 550 cars accepted. Organizers said each car accepted will be based on its authenticity, race provenance and the historical accuracy of its mechanical preparation and livery.<\/p>\n<p>The opening of the entry process will coincide with the formal announcement of the 2015 featured marque.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion 2015 &#8211; Race Groups<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-1940 Sports Racing and Touring<\/li>\n<li>1927-1951 Racing<\/li>\n<li>1955-1962 GT<\/li>\n<li>1963-1966 GT over 2500cc<\/li>\n<li>1973-1981 FIA, IMSA, GT, GTX, AAGT, GTU<\/li>\n<li>1981-1991 FIA Manufacturers Championship; IMSA GTO\/GTP<\/li>\n<li>1955-1961 Sports Racing over 2000cc<\/li>\n<li>1955-1961 Sports Racing under 2000cc<\/li>\n<li>1970-1984 Sports Racing under 2100cc<\/li>\n<li>1947-1955 Sports Racing and GT<\/li>\n<li>1961-1966 GT under 2500cc<\/li>\n<li>1968-1976 Formula 5000<\/li>\n<li>1967-1984 Formula One<\/li>\n<li>1966-1972 Trans-Am<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Gill Campbell, CEO and General Manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, said, \u201cMotor racing history will fill the paddock through remarkable cars that bear historical significance. It is a time-consuming process for the Governing Committee to evaluate each application and then narrow the invitations down to 550 amazing cars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the largest event of the <a title=\"Monterey Classic Car Week\" href=\"https:\/\/sportscardigest.com\/tag\/monterey-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Monterey Classic Car Week<\/a>, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion relives motorsport history at the circuit, which has been the scene of America\u2019s golden years of sports car racing since its inception in 1957.
